How Do I Install A Wireless Internet Detector On My Computer?
I just got a new computer. It does not detect my wireless Internet. There is no problem with the router or network because I can access wireless Internet from my laptop just fine.
Is there a device in my computer that detects wireless Internet that I just need to set up? or will I have to buy something separately?

Join a wireless network…..
Most desktop (which is what I am assuming you are referring to as the new system) computers do not come with a wireless network card. They will usually have integrated NICs but they require an Ethernet cable to be able to connect.
Two possible solutions:
If the desktop is located next to the Wireless router, have an Ethernet port on the computer (its new so chances are basically you do) and you can connect to the wireless router with an Ethernet cable…go buy an ethernet cable. You are probably not going to need wireless for your desktop anyways. Plus it would be cheaper if cost is a concern.
The second option would be to go out and purchase a wireless network card for the computer. I don’t know how old your wireless network is but if it is relatively new I would say that it is a 802.11b/g. You will need to make sure and purchase compatible wireless card.
